Specialized Bicycle 2011 Carbon Fork Recall

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Specialized has voluntarily issued a safety recall on the 2011 model-year Advanced Group carbon forks found on the following 2011 bicycle models sold from June 2010 to August 2011:

The six affected 2011 model-year bicycles
Sirrus Comp, Sirrus Expert, Sirrus Elite. And the Vita Comp Tricross, Vita Expert Tricross, and Vita Elite Tricross.

The recall issue
The brake boss housed in the carbon fork can disengage from the fork and allow the brake to contact the wheel spokes while you're riding posing a fall hazard.

The remedy
If you have one of these bicycle models, please stop riding it immediately and return it to us or your nearest authorized Specialized retailer for a free replacement fork.
