Up and down, Specialized's BG Enduro Shorts have you covered. They feature mesh panels to keep you cool, while the durable polyester shell gives you the confidence to open it up on the downhills. There's also a great removable liner short with Specialized's BG Comp chamois for all-day pedaling comfort. And, the waist straps let you fine-tune the fit.

There are 2 parts to these shorts: the inner liner and the outer shell. You can wear any spandex short you like and then just wear the shell over the spandex. This permits me to wear all of my spandex shorts but still have the baggy short look. I dont attach the spandex to the outer shell; dont need to. The spandex fits right as is and the shell does not slip or move up on me at all. The outer shell should last forever and I can just replace the spandex shorts as they wear out.
I have owned many baggy mountain bike shorts. Fox, Oakley, Louis Garneau, Endura, Sugoi. These are my favorites. Most of the other shorts I own are a little big or a little small. These shorts fit perfectly. They are the most expensive shorts I own but you get what you pay for. I live in Texas, ride a hardtail and ride mostly xc. If I had to do a long ride, 30+ miles, I'd be reaching for these shorts first. I highly suggest getting a pair of these if you are into riding in baggy bike shorts. These were done right. My only gripe is the lack of pockets for when I'm walking thru the store after a ride.
