I really like this bike because it really holds its line and specially that I am joining high school racing. This bike is really fast in switch back or corners.
I've had this bike for 1 year now and raced on it for 1 season. I love it.
I use this for uphill and downhill mountain biking. The Reba shox actually make a huge difference from the lowest end Rock Shox. During the test ride, I knew I'd also have to upgrade the shifters from SLX to Shimano XT780 which was well worth it. The SLX shifters aren't nearly as smooth and crisp as the 780's are, plus these are interchangeable with 2x10 and 3x10 drive trains. Since I already had a better drive train, I put XTR 785 rear deraileur (still has clutch) with 785 chain and 770 cassette. With the same components as my GT Karakoram 29'er, the Specialized left it in the dust on downhill and up.
