Shred singletrack like there's no tomorrow with Trek's unstoppable Fuel EX 9.8 29. The OCLV Carbon frame uses Trek's super-efficient Full Floater and ABP rear suspension tech that makes every ride better, faster, and simply more fun. Stiffness means efficiency and better handling, so you're armed with an E2 head tube and wheel-enhancing Boost hub spacing. Fox handles the suspension with a 120mm Performance 34 Float and a RE:aktiv Float shock, both of which absolutely crush the ups and downs on every trail. Rounding out the build is Shimano's unflappable 2x11 XT group, a Reverb Stealth dropper post, Bontrager carbon bars, and DT Swiss tubeless-ready wheels wrapped with fat rubber. There's no tomorrow, so get out there and shred.

I ride all the trails in the area and harder ones in more exotic locations like Moab and Whistler, and here is final a bike that can go darn nearly as fast as the latest race bikes (faster than my several year old XC race bike actually could) and yet can easily tackle much harder terrain than any of those could go near. I love it. It needs the tubeless conversion done, but not much else!
Couldn't justify 9.9 Fuel Project One, but didn't loose anything but some gold on the fork and shock, the paint custom and used the saving to get a set of carbon wheel and lighter tires and factory upgrade to Sram X01. Thanks Trek for the 9.8 Fuel I have my dream bike.
